The short answer

How to tell if your LinkedIn posts are performing.

A LinkedIn post is performing if it clears the engagement benchmark for your follower tier in the month it was published. Raw likes and impressions are misleading because they scale with audience size. A founder with 1,200 followers and a post pulling 4,000 impressions is breaking out. A founder with 40,000 followers and the same 4,000 impressions is underperforming. The only honest read on a post is its number against the tier and month it lived in.

PostLab uses tiered monthly benchmarks built from public engagement data across 0 to 100K+ follower accounts. Every analyzed post lands in one of five buckets: Below Typical, Typical, Strong, Top, or Breakout. Typical means the post hit the median for founders of your size that month. Strong is the top third. Top is the top tenth. Breakout is the top three percent. You do not need three months of analytics or a paid tool to read this. You need the post, your follower count, and the right benchmark.

What to do with the result depends on the tier. If the post landed Below Typical or Typical, the issue is almost always the hook or the structure: the first two lines did not earn the click on “see more,” or the body did not reward the reader for staying. If the post landed Strong or higher, the question flips: what made this work, and can you build a repeatable pattern from it? The Post Analyzer writes that diagnosis for each of your last three posts so you can stop guessing and start running deliberate experiments. The whole read takes about 60 seconds.

What it does

A second pair of eyes on your LinkedIn.

The Post Analyzer ranks each of your last 3 posts against monthly LinkedIn engagement benchmarks for founders at your follower size. Then Claude writes a short, plain-language diagnosis: what worked in your hook, your structure, your CTA, and why this post landed where it did.

Per-post tier

Below Typical, Typical, Strong, Top, or Breakout. No vanity metrics, no relative percentages. Real benchmarks for your tier.

Hook + CTA diagnosis

Specific observations on what worked and what didn't. Founder-to-founder language, no rewrites or AI slop.
